Baby Steps.....to sleeping!

Well Alexandra has officially started scooting! Josh has learned (even though I told him this) that she won't do it to come to him, she only does it when she wants something out of her reach! Why would she scoot to him, if she knows he will eventually pick her up?! Men are funny sometimes!

She has been napping in her crib, finally! I put her down to sleep last night, but she only slept in there for about an hour before she wanted back in bed with us. Baby steps! Today she napped for 2 hours when she came home, and she is napping now, I can't imagine for the same length of time, but who knows! I am so happy she is finally starting to remember she likes her crib! She used to sleep in there but sometime around December she started not wanting to, and would scream like the dickens if we put her in there! So...fast forward 4 months and a new king size bed later, she is on her way!

Josh and I went to Target yesterday, we found this 10 pc crib set that is so perfect for the new baby! So excited about it!http://www.target.com/Sumersault-Geo-Brights-Piece-Crib/dp/B002ED0B3M/ref=in_de_display_children_4?ie=UTF8&altString=Sumersault%20Geo%20Brights%2010%20Piece%20Crib%20Set%20-%20Multicolor

I am so excited for Easter! One because it is my daughters first, but also because it is such a wonderful day to celebrate new life!

Smiles

It seems like yesterday I got my positive pregnancy test. Now my little girl is rolling around trying to find the next thing she can tear apart. I actually found out I was pregnant on my husbands birthday. Great birthday present if you ask me :) I remember feeling so tired the days leading up to that day, and I couldn't figure out why. My whole life I thought the first sign I would get when I was pregnant would be throwing up! Ahh, the things you don't know before you actually get pregnant. I didn't have much sickness with Alexandra, here and there when I would eat something she didn't like I would, and then go on with whatever I was doing, nothing real bad. It's funny because the one thing I do remember is how tired I was, and even out of the womb this girl is exhausting. I wouldn't trade her for anything though!

Here lately she has started waving, it's so adorable. She, of course chooses when and who she wants to wave to, but oh the excitement when she does!

I have decided that I could live off her smiles for the rest of my life. I just wish she could always stay so happy and never be hurt!

Lifechanges

I have decided to change the whole idea for my blog. From hereon out I am going to be writing to my daughter. I want to remember all the fun and special times I have had with her. Josh and I have found out that we are expecting again! While it was a shock, we are very happy! This blog will ensure I remember everything, when my pregnancy brain is going crazy!

Endometriosis

When my husband and I decided to have a baby, it wasn't so quick and easy for us. After a year with no success, I started to have horrible back pain. I went to several doctors, had several x-rays and exams done, but no one could tell me what was wrong. My mother had mentioned to me that maybe I had endometriosis, as she had once had it, and it was possibly hereditary. I decided to research it, and after looking at all the symptoms, it seemed like a possibility. I went in and told the Dr my findings, he then referred me to a ob/gyn, as he thought this was a possibility. After a couple visits with different doctors, we decided to have a laparoscopy done. A week later I went in for surgery; they had found some tissue on my bladder, and removed it. Two months later I had no more pain and was pregnant! I have since found out that endometriosis doesn't go away, it comes back unless you have a hysterectomy. So I know the next time I try to get pregnant it could be a struggle, but after having my daughter it is so worth it.

Turns out this problem is pretty common. So many people around me seemed as if they got pregnant so easily, it was so frustrating when I couldn't. After I had this surgery, people started telling me that they had the same problem, or had trouble themselves. If more people talked openly of their problems, it would help others with similar problems! Well, I thought I would share my story!

Bible in 24 hours?!?

I think the hardest part of this blog thing, is coming up with a decent title for the post. I would normally center my post around the title I choose, I am deciding to different today.
My little one has not been a very good napper today, she has had trouble falling asleep, and then has trouble staying there, which has made a tiring day for her mama as well! I have spent most of my day following along to a powerpoint called "24 hours through the Bible" a man of the name Chuck Missler narates the whole thing, here is his website www.khouse.org. It has been pretty interesting, and has kept my attention most of the day!
My beautiful daughter has now decided that she needs me attention more than this blog does, so I promise to write sooner than this last time!

A little about me with a pinch of no sleep!

I thought I would start a blog, mostly for family that don't live close by. I plan to write a lot about my 20 week old daughter, Alexandra; as well as my life as I see it!
To start with I am 26 years old, been married to my husband Joshua for 4 years now. We have been together for 8 years, which seems like a while, but time sure does fly! He works with his family, and spends a majority of his time at or thinking about work. He loves us, and I know he does his best to provide for us!
I am also a born again Christian, while my walk with Christ has had it struggles, it has been the best path I have chosen to take. While a lot of my life changes have been for the best, some are still hard, such as losing some good friends, but in time it will all work out.
As for the no sleep part, my beautiful daughter, to which we call so many names; Alex, Allie, Allie Cat, Allie Bug, Nug, Nugnut, and of course Alexandra! Poor girl will probably never figure out her name! She has always been a pretty decent sleeper, and up until the past week, would only get up once a night. Which was great, I felt so proud to tell people this when they asked if I had gotten much sleep. She has decided to switch that around on me! She has been getting up every 2 hours, I have trouble getting her back to sleep! All she wants to do is nurse, and won't sleep by herself! I have since realised that she has a cold, which is probably the culprit, I just hope it goes away soon! While I hate not sleeping, I feel worse for her, I know she has to be exhausted!
She happens to be napping right now, which is the only way I was able to start this. I really should be getting the house cleaned, as we have company coming on Thanksgiving! On that note I sign off! Happy Thanksgiving in case I am unable to post before then!
